A fulfillment center may already use a warehouse management system, automated storage, conveyors, sortation, or robotic picking. Yet after an order reaches the packing area, the physical workflow may still depend on a chain of manual actions: move the product, find a carton, form the box, load the order, close it, apply the label, and move the finished package again.

This is why a highly automated warehouse can still have an operator-intensive final packaging stage. The issue is not that every individual task lacks a machine. The issue is that the tasks may remain disconnected, with people acting as the transfer mechanism between stations.

Under the DCT brand, we develop, manufacture, and deliver automated packaging equipment and integrated systems for modern fulfillment, warehousing, logistics, and manufacturing operations.
